The aha moment

For four years, I have been working at Amazon. I finally had the aha moment: no matter how hard I work, the quality of my work means nothing. If I was a brown noser, I'm sure things would be different. It's not who you know but who likes you. Even though Amazon preaches how favoritism is not allowed, playing favorites is alive and well at Amazon. Also it's very generous of you all to give us two ten minute breaks, wow thanks so much.

A couple weeks ago, my manager comes by my work station, I thought maybe to express to me his appreciation for how hard I've been working. He said he has to write me up for not making rate last week. The same rate you all keep changing. When he asked me why I didn't make rate, I told him because I am tired and burnt out. He looked at me like I just made the dumbest comment. You all don't understand that we are not robots. We experience pain especially when bending and over using the same muscles and joints day after day. Amazon has customer obsession, why not also have employee obsession?
