don't wait around based on lies

After 2.5 years as an SDE at Amazon. I agree with pretty much everything in the NY Times article, no matter how many lies Amazon tells to counter the article. 

Most importantly, if your review is messed up  with lies from your manager in any year (you don't get an "Achieves" in performance and "Solid Strength" in leadership principles), you cannot move teams and you're pretty much on the way out the door. Don't bother waiting around and stressing out because it will just hurt you and no one else. Just quit before you have a heart attack. (The only reason this probably doesn't happen more often is that Amazon doesn't hire older people. They definitely discriminate against them and hire only young kids to burn through them and then bring in the next batch).
