Fall in line

Amazon does not care to control or fix the politics as long as work gets done. No one bothers about the quality of the technology, because their attitude is just deliver now and fix later (but later never comes). Starting from the director level, people get kicked out for no reason if the management team decides to do so. Performance ratings are not justified and there is no way to challenge wrong ratings. Bad managers control the company culture. As a technology geek, I was really frustrated during my time at Amazon because there is no respect for software quality, proper development methodologies, or any other strategic planning because you just have to do whatever your management says or else you're eliminated. These management strategies effectively nullify you as a "knowledge worker" and make you into a dumb worker bee who has to fall in line or else be forced to leave.
