Lotus Festival

Lotus Festival – Named in honor of old-time fiddle player Lotus Dickey from Orange County, the Lotus Festival in Bloomington is a multi-cultural event that began in 1994 and just completed its fifteenth year. Consisting of four days in October, the festival’s concerts take place in various venues around the city, including the public library, night clubs, restaurants, churches, convention centers, and tents. The 2018 line-up included thirty acts from all over the world, including groups from France, Indian, Mali, Puerto Rico, China, Sweden, Ireland. On a Hoosier note, one of the guests was Uncle Earl with Rayna Gellert.
