Michael Barr

Michael Preston Barr (b. Indiana, January 2, 1927 - d. May 29th, 2009, Los Angeles ) – Songwriter. Barr wrote a number of songs in collaboration with lyricist Dion McGregor. Among them are “Kicks” (recorded by Julie London, 1956), “Try Your Wings” (recorded by Blossom Dearie, 1958), “Hello Love” (recorded by Dearie, 1960), and “Where is the Wonder,” which Barbara Streisand sang and used for her show My Name is Barbra (1964).
