Rich Mullins

Rich Mullins (b. Richmond, October 21, 1955 – d. La Salle County, Illinois, September 19, 1997) – Singer and Songwriter. Nominated twelve times for Dove Awards (although never winning), Mullins composed songs in his head as a youngster while driving a tractor at his family’s farm outside of Richmond. His first big break came when Amy Grant discovered his work on an album that he made with Zion Ministries and decided to include his “Sing Your Praise to the Lord” on Age to Age (1982). His career took off in the late 1980s; however, Rich Mullins’s life was taken in an automobile accident in 1997.
