Angelin Chang

Angelin Chang (b. Muncie, c. 1968 - ) – Pianist. A child of a Ball State University Professor of Political Science, Chang started playing piano at age four and appeared as a soloist with the Muncie Symphony Orchestra at age twelve. After graduating from the Burris Laboratory School of Ball State University, Chang received degrees from BSU (B.A. in French and B.M.), Indiana University (M.M.), and Peabody Conservatory (D.M.A.). In addition to serving as Director of Keyboard Studies at Cleveland State University (where she also teaches courses in Law), Chang is an internationally acclaimed pianist as a soloist and chamber musician and is the first Artist-in-Residence at the Kennedy Center in Washington, D.C. Her most celebrated award came on February 11, 2007, when she won a Grammy for Best Instrumental Soloist with an Orchestra for her performance of Messiaen’s Osieaux exotiques with the Cleveland Chamber Orchestra.
