Haste the Day

Haste the Day – Christian Metal Band. Named after a lyric in the hymn “It is well with my soul,” Hast the Day is a Christian Metal Band that formed in Carmel in 2001. The original lineup consisted of Brennan Chaulk (guitar, vocals), Devin Chaulk (drums, back-up vocals), Michael Murphy (bass and vocals) and Jason Barnes (Guitar). Shortly after the group’s formation, Jimmy Ryan joined on as the lead singer. In 2006, Stephen Keech replaced Jimmy Ryan, who later joined a band called Trenches (singed to Solid State Records in 2008). Just recently in 2008, Dave Krysl took over for Jason Barnes on tours. Under contract with Solid State Records, Haste the Day has released three studio albums since 2004 and is scheduled to release a fourth one entitled Dreamer on October 14, 2008. Their two most recent releases, When Everything Falls (2005) and Pressure the Hinges (2007) both broke into the Billboard top 200. In addition to recording, the band has toured consistently and went on full national tour in 2007 with Scary Kids Scaring Kids, Drop Dead, Gorgeous, and Gwen Stacy (see above).
