Dale Wright

Dale Wright (b. Harlan Dale Riffe in Middletown, Ohio, February 4, 1938 - d. Lexington, Kentucky, April 15, 2007). Singer, songwriter, and guitarist. While working as a disc jockey in Dayton, Ohio, Dale Wright performed one of his songs on the air and prompted a signing with Fraternity Records in Cincinnati. In the late 1950s, he recorded eight 45s with Fraternity (sometimes with a back-up band called the Rock-Its) and charted the following two singles in 1958: "She's Neat" (#38) and "Don't Do It" (#77). Also during the late 1950s, he performed with some of Indy's top bands, among then Keetie & the Kats, the Dawnbeats, and the Crowns. A member of the Rockabilly Hall of Fame, Wright recorded a few songs on small labels in the 1960s, and he became a long-time talk-show host in Lexington.
