Kevon Edmonds

Kevon Edmonds (b. Indianapolis) – Singer. A younger brother of “Babyface” Edmonds, Kevon Edmonds was hesitant about singing until joining his Jr. High and High School choirs. As a student at Indiana University, Kevon took some music courses and formed After 7 in 1988 with brother Melvin and classmate Keith Mitchell. After “Babyface” established himself with Virgin Records, he and producer L.A. Reid (cousin of Keith Mitchell) welcomed After 7, which recorded a self-titled platinum album (1989) and put fifteen singles on the U.S. R & B charts. Two years after the group split up in 1997, Kevon released his only solo album entitled 24/7, whose title track was its only hit. In 2017, he was featured on a TV series documentary titled Unsung.
