Jeremy Spencer

Jeremy Spencer (b. Jeremy Spencer Heyde in Oakland City, January 8, 1973 - ) -- Drummer, songwriter, author, and producer. Raised in Booneville (North of Evansville), Spencer played with a plethora of bands including Cornucopia of Death, which opened for Pantera in Indianapolis. Following high school, he moved to Los Angeles, where he played with several more bands and made several recordings, one with W.A.S.P. In 2005, he was a founding member of the metal band Five Finger Death Punch, with which played until December, 2018, when he had back surgery. In the first year, he was not only the drummer, but also the lead singer. Based in Las Vegas, Five Finger Death Punch has recorded seven studio albums, three of which went platinum with three others going gold. All but the first album made it into the top five on the Billboard 200 and also charted in numerous European countries. While the band has won its fair share of awards, Spencer was named "Golden God's Best Drummer" in 2012 by Revolver Magazine and "Best Drummer" by Loudwire in 2015. His dynamic drum solos were highlights of the live shows. In June of 2019, Spencer was sworn in with the Rockport Police Department in Spencer County.
