Jason Bonham

Jason Bonham (b. Dudley, West Midland, England, July 15, 1966 - ) – Drummer and songwriter. The son of John Bonham (the late drummer of Led Zeppelin), Jason Bonham joined Virginia Wolf (a British rock band) in 1985 and recorded two albums with them as well as touring with the Firm. In the late ‘80s, he performed and recorded with Jimmy Page and appeared at a New York concert with all three remaining members of Led Zeppelin in May 1988 for the fortieth anniversary of Atlantic Records. Throughout the 1990s, he mainly led his own bands, and, of particular note, played at Woodstock II in 1994 with Paul Rodgers and Slash and filled in for his father at Led Zeppelin’s inauguration into the Rock-N-Roll Hall of Fame in 1995. From 1999 to 2003, Bonham joined the Indy-based band Healing Sixes after sharing a tour with them. During Bonham’s stint with Healing Sixes, the band released Enormsound, produced by Kevin “Caveman” Shirley, who has worked with Aerosmith, Black Crowes, and Journey. After drumming on tours with Foreigner from 2003 to 2007, Bonham reunited again with Led Zeppelin at London’s O2 Arena on December 10, 2007. Recently, he has worked with Thunder and Black Country Communion, a British-American supergroup. Also included among Bonham’s credits is playing the drummer of Steel Dragon in the 2001 feature film Rock Star. In 2009, he formed the tribute band Led Zeppelin Evening, which has toured and played at high profile events. In recent years, he has also toured with Ann and Nancy Wilson of Heart, playing Led Zeppelin songs together. Since 2014, Bonham has also manged to be a part of Sammy Hagar's supergroup The Circle, which plays some Led Zeppelin songs mixed in with songs by acts that Hagar has been a part of. For the remainder of 2019, he has shows booked with his tribute band along with Peter Frampton and Umphrey's McGee.
