Adam Lambert

Adam Lambert (b. Indianapolis, January 29, 1982 - ) -- Vocalist, songwriter, and actor. Lambert's family moved away from Indiana to San Diego not long after his birth. As a teenager, Lambert was very involved with singing and acting, as he studied voice, sang choirs, and performed in musicals. After graduating from high school in 2000 and attending California State University for a short time, he moved to Los Angeles and got his feet wet for the eight or nine years. His performance experience included cruise ships, light opera, singing in a rock band, and lots of musical theater (local and touring). His life turned around in 2008, when he was runner-up on season eight American Idol to Kris Allen. Lambert's post-Idol success was immediate, as his first album For Your entertainment, which came out later that year started on #3 on the Billboard 200. The single "whataya want from me" earned him a Grammy nomination in 2010 in the category "Best Male Vocal Pop Performance." No Trespassing his sophomore effort) debuted at #1 in 2011. Several acting roles, solo tours, and another studio album followed. Since 2011, he has also been featured in Adam Lambert + Queen, which includes original members Brian May and Roger Taylor.
