MusicCrossroads

MusicCrossroads – Founded by Matthew B. Carter (Vice President of strategic development for the Indianapolis Convention & Visitors Association), MusicCrossroads is an organization designed to attract and support other performing arts entrepreneurs in an interest of providing arts programs in the community. MusicCrossroads intends to provide artistic opportunities for performers, educators, children and families. In the beginning, MusicCrossroads leaned on the International Violin Competition, the American Pianists Association, and Heartland Truly Moving Pictures as the core of its mission. Since then, the organization has brought numerous other similar entrepreneurs to the city including Music for All (relocating from Chicago in 2003), Percussive Arts Society (2007), and Drum Corp International (2008).
