Jeff Hamilton

Jeff Hamilton (b. Richmond, 1953 - ) – Drummer. A native of Richmond, Hamilton attended Indiana University and went on to perform with many prominent jazz groups and soloists starting in the mid 1970s. His résumé includes gigs with the Tommy Dorsey Band, the Count Basie Band, the Woody Herman Orchestra, the Clayton Brothers Quartet, the Ray Brown Trio, Lionel Hampton, Oscar Peterson, Ella Fitzgerald, and Diana Krall. Lastly, Hamilton is co-owner of Bosphorous Cymbals, for which he designed the Hammer Series.
