The Faith Band

The Faith Band – Originally called the Chosen Few in the 1960s and then the Limousines around 1972, the Faith Band from Indianapolis produced a couple minor hits—including “Dancing Shoes” (#54 on the Billboard charts)—in the late 1970s. They made several other recordings over a long period of time and for a short while were under contract with RCA. Virtually unchanged throughout its existence, the personnel included Muncie-born Carl Storie, the writer and singer of “Dancing Shoes,” and Indy native John Cascella. While Storie has also performed with the Alligator Brothers and now has a band of his own, John Cascella was John Mellencamp’s keyboardist until his fatal heart attack in 1992.
