Carey Landry

Carey Landry (b. 1944 - ) – Composer and musical minister. Landry studied music at Saint Joseph College in Rensselaer and theology at the Catholic University of America in Washington, D.C. Since 1967, he has been composing and recording Christian music, and he and his wife Carol Jean Kinghom have operated an international musical ministry since 1972, having given workshops and performances throughout the U.S. and Canada, Australia, Ireland, Scotland, and other parts of Europe. Currently, they coordinate a music program at the Immaculate Heart of Mary Parish in Indianapolis, where Landry also serves as a hospital chaplain. A well-known composer of catholic liturgical music, Landry has released nine CDs of original and standard material. Moreover, his Gentle Sounds 4 was voted instrumental album of the year in 2000 by the United Catholic Music and Video Association.
