Sandi Patty

Sandi Patty (b. Oklahoma, July 12, 1956 - ) – Singer and songwriter. Albeit born in Oklahoma, Patty has established herself as a Hoosier. She moved to Indiana in the 1970s to study music at Anderson College and then settled there. After gaining early exposure with the Gaither Trio, she became “The Voice” of American Contemporary Christian Music. A 2004 inductee of the Gospel Music Hall of Fame, Patty has won 39 Dove awards, 5 Grammy awards, and 5 Billboard awards. In addition, she has recorded 3 Platinum albums and 5 Gold albums.
