Umphrey's McGee

Umphrey’s McGee – Rock band. Formed at Notre Dame in 1997, Umphrey’s McGee is a well-known Chicago-based rock/jam band. Curiously-titled Greatest Hits III, the band’s first album came out in the middle of 1998, only eight months after forming. Since then, Umphrey’s McGee has had eleven more studio albums and several live albums. One of the live albums was recorded at the Egyptian Room at the Murat in Indianapolis; the final product, which came out in October 2007, received a four-star review in Rolling Stone Magazine. In 2006, the band appeared on Jimmy Kimmel Live in an effort to promote the album Safety in Numbers. In its thirty-year existence, only musician has left Umphrey's McGee.
