Nathan Gunn

Nathan Gunn (b. South Bend, 1970 - ) – Vocalist. Nathan Gunn was born and raised in South Bend, where he attended St. Joseph High School before moving on to Indiana University and the University of Illinois. Known for his brilliant performances in operas ranging from Mozart to newly-commissioned works, he has performed lead baritone roles at many of the world's most esteemed venues. They include the Metropolitan Opera, San Francisco Opera, Lyric Opera of Chicago, Houston Grand Opera, Seattle Opera, Dallas Opera, Opera Company of Philadelphia, Pittsburgh Opera, Mostly Mozart Festival, Royal Opera House (Covent Garden), Paris Opera, Bayerische Staatsoper, Glyndebourne Festival, and the Theatre Royal de la Monnaie in Brussels. In 2015, he was part of the world premiere of Jennifer Higdon's Gold Mountain by the Sante Fe Opera. Gunn has also appeared as a concert singer with New York Philharmonic, Boston Symphony Orchestra, Chicago Symphony Orchestra, San Francisco Symphony, Pittsburgh Symphony Orchestra, Cleveland Orchestra, Minnesota Orchestra, London Symphony Orchestra, Münchner Rundfunkorchster, and the Rotterdam Philharmonic Orchestra. Since 2007, he has been a Professor of Voice at the University of Illinois.
