Jesse Powell

Jesse Powell (b. Gary, February 24, 1971 - ) – Singer. A Gospel-inspired tenor with a four-octave range, Jesse Powell grew up singing with a family group (including sisters Trina and Tamara) that performed locally. In 1993, he moved to Los Angeles and eventually signed with Louil Silas, Jr. of MCA Records. Now an R & B and soul recording artist, Powell has four studio albums to his credit, including ‘Bout It (MCA, 1998), which went Gold. That album spawned three hit singles, and one of them entitled “You” went to #10 on the pop charts and #2 on the R & B charts. His other three albums have five hits collectively.
