Patrique Fortson

Patrique Fortson (b. Terre Haute - ) -- Singer. Born and raised in Terre Haute, Fortson displayed his musical talent at an early age while attending the Bethlehem Temple Church on South Thirteenth Street. At age seven, he recorded an album for Pure Gospel Sound, and, at age nine, he appeared on Star Search with Ed McMahon. He played violin while attending Deming Elementary School and graduated from Terre Haute North High School in 1998. Five years later, he won Wabash Valley Idol in Terre Haute as preparation for American Idol, which he made into the top thirty-two in the same year. Fortson has lived lived in Virginia, Nashville, Washington, D.C., and Atlanta. While in Atlanta, he was a contestant on the Voice in 2018 with team Jennifer.
