Sally Anthony

Sally Anthony (b. Indianapolis - ) – Singer and songwriter. A native of Indianapolis, pop singer Anthony recorded a trio of EPs from 1998 to 2001, thus extending her fan base beyond Indiana. Also for the good of the cause, she toured with such headliners as Natalie Merchant, Chris Isaak, Barenaked Ladies, James Taylor, and Tom Petty. In 2004, she became part-owner of the Nashville Shock, a semi-professional basketball team; however, her attempt to fire the coach during a game in January 2005 led to her resignation as CEO. Nonetheless, Vent, her first full-length album, was released independently in 2005 and included two songs that received airplay—the title track and “C’Mon, C’Mon.” After signing with EMI, Anthony recorded Goodbye in 2007, and it soared to #9 on the Billboard Hotseekers chart.
