Ghost Mice

Ghost Mice -- Folk punk duo. Formed and based in Bloomington, Ghost Mice was a acoustic punk duo consisting of Chris Clavin (real name, Christopher Johnston) on guitar and Hannah Jones on violin. After getting burned out on playing in punk bands with lots of equipment to haul around, set up, and tear down, the pair decided to start an acoustic group that could play anywhere at any time in 2002. Sometimes with additional musicians, Ghost Mice released over ten albums on various labels and toured the United States and Europe extensively. Many of their songs are political while others are autobiographical; as an example of the latter, each of the tracks on the album Europe describes their visit to a particular country during a trip in 2000. Although Ghost Mice dissolved in 2017, the group's internet presence remains very strong.
