Travis Davis

Travis Davis (b. Terre Haute - ) -- Bassist and vocalist. Travis Davis is currently the bassist of California Transit Authority (CTA), which is led by the band Chicago's original drummer, Danny Seraphine. CTA plays many songs from the early days of Chicago (actually the Chicago Transit Authority) and some originals from Sacred Ground (2013), which Travis played on. Throughout his time with CTA, he has sung back-up as well as lead. Another west-coast based band that Travis was a member for many years was led by Keith Emerson of Emerson, Lake, and Palmer. With the Keith Emerson band, Travis was part of two studio albums and a live album from a show in Moscow. Following his move to Los Angeles in 2006, Davis has also performed with Alice Cooper, Sammy Hagar, Eric Martin (Mr. Big), Troy Luccketta (Tesla), J.R. Richards (Dishwalla), Kevin Cronin (REO), Paul Rodgers (Bad Company), and Richard Page (Mr. Mister). Born and raised in Terre Haute, Travis grew up in a rock 'n roll household, as his parents (Eddie and Joy Davis) formed the nucleus of Eddie and the Motivators (a recently-reunited and long-running popular band). In fact, Travis was the band's bass player for several years. His other instrument of focus from his Terre Haute days was the French horn, which he played at Terre Haute South Vigo High School and Indiana State University.
