Tracy Ferrie (Stryper)

Tracy Ferrie (b. Elkhart - ) – Bass Player. After growing in Elkhart, Ferrie spent two and a half years at Berklee Music School. Following a mugging outside of Boston, Ferrie rehabilitated in Indiana and eventually moved in Los Angeles. After playing with Electrik, Seraiah, Whitecross, and Strange Celebrity, Ferrie became the bass player for Stryper in 2004. Prior to joining Stryper, an award-winning Christian Metal Band, Ferrie played with the solo band of Stryper’s lead singer Michael Sweet. Formed in 1983, Stryper became the highest grossing contemporary Christian group and also charted records on Billboard. When Ferrie joined the group, the band was in a re-building process and in 2005 released Reborn, their first album of original songs in fifteen years. He stayed until 2010 and recorded one more album with them, Murder by Pride (2009). In 2012, Ferrie became the new bassist in the rock band Boston, which has recorded one album during his tenure, Live, Love and Hope (2013).
