David Lei Brandt (Varsity FanClub)

David Lei Brandt (b. Pomona, California, November 29, 1986) – Singer, dancer, and actor. Born David Leibrandt Masterson, David Lei Brandt was born in Evansville and moved to Ontario, California. Under his dad’s direction, David performed lead roles with Equity Stage while still in high school in California. He performed leads in High School Musical, Grease, Fiddler on the Roof, Camelot, Guys and Dolls, West Side Story, Oliver, Les Miserables, and The Diary of Anne Frank. Since the age of sixteen, Brandt has taught dance and choreography throughout the country. Since 2006, David has been a member of Varsity FanClub, a five-member boys’ band put together through auditions by Stonehall Entertainment. All of the band’s members are trained singers, actors, and dancers. With the help of the top songwriters in the pop music business, Varsity FanClub is in the running for becoming one of the next huge pop sensations. Already receiving much airplay on Radio Disney, Varsity FanClub has a recording contract with Capitol and has released a handful of singles, including “Future Love” (2008). In 2012, David left the group because he had to focus on a dancing gig he already had with Lady Gaga.
