Eric Silberger

Eric Silberger – Violinist. A quickly rising talent, twenty-one year-old Eric Silberger is the son of Marc Silberger, who was a first violinist in the Indianapolis Symphony Orchestra from 1987 to 2008. Eric grew up in Indianapolis and has appeared as a soloist with the ISO and the Cincinnati Symphony Orchestra. His teachers include Pinchas Zuckerman, Itzhak Perlman, Robert Mann, Dorothy DeLay, Hyo Kang, Kurt Sassmannshaus, Ik-Hwan Bae, and Glenn Dicterow (concertmaster of the New York Philharmonic Orchestra). He holds a B.A. in Political Science from Columbia University, and a M.M. (Master's in Music) from Juilliard. Silberger has won Juilliard’s Violin Concerto Competition and the Toyota Award from the Association of Tchaikovsky Competition Stars, and he has appeared as a soloist with the San Francisco Symphony, Mariinsky Orchestra, St. Petersburg Philharmonia, Konzerthausorchester Berlin, Chamber Orchestra of the Mariinsky Theatre, London Philharmonia, Danish National Symphony, Orquesta Sinfónica de México, Munich Chamber Orchestra, Indianapolis Symphony Orchestra, and the Cincinnati Symphony Orchestra. Lastly, Eric has played on some of the most prestigious stages in the world, including appearances in “Live from Lincoln Center,” “Perlman in Shanghai” (PBS), and the Kennedy Center Honors (CBS).
