Songwriters' Hall of Fame

Songwriters’ Hall of Fame – Sponsored by the National Academy of Popular Music, the Songwriters’ Hall of Fame includes the following Hoosiers with the year of induction in parentheses: Hoagy Carmichael (1971), Paul Dresser (1970), James Hanley (1970), Cole Porter (1970), Albert von Tilzer (1970), Harry von Tilzer (1970), Fred Rose (1985), Michael Jackson (2002), and Tom Kelly as part of Steinberg and Kelly (2011). Lastly, the Songwriters’ Hall of Fame was co-founded by Abe Olman, who lived in Indianapolis as a young man from 1908 to around 1912.
