Stephen Love

Stephen A. Love (b. Crawfordsville, May 19, 1950 - ) – Bassist, guitarist, singer, songwriter, real estate broker, and CEO. After playing in high school bands in Pittsburgh and attending college in Nebraska, Hoosier-born Stephen A. Love hooked up with Randy Meisner and moved to Hollywood to start a music career. While Meisner went on to join the Eagles, Love became the bass player for Ricky Nelson and the Stone Canyon Band in 1970. Only two years later, Nelson’s A Garden Party, which included one of Love’s songs ("Let it Bring You Along"), was released and eventually sold eight million copies. Following his three-year stint with Ricky Nelson, he played with Roger McGuinn (1973-76) and New Riders of the Purple Sage (1976-79). Currently a resident of Puerto Vallarta, Valisco, Mexico, Love is the CEO of Vallartamex S.C. Construction Company and is also the owner of Blues Jeans Music.
