Janie Frickie

Janie Frickie (b. Janie Fricke, South Whitely, December 19, 1947 - ) – Singer. Frickie was born into a musical family, as her father was a guitarist and her mother an organist and piano teacher. After recording prolifically as a back-up singer, she had eight #1 country hits from the early to mid 1980s. In 1982 and 1983, she was Country Music Association’s Female Vocalist of the Year. Her total output includes twenty albums, with the most recent being in the bluegrass style from 2012. To this day, she is performing around the country.
