Elephant Micah

Elephant Micah (b. Joseph O'Connell in Kentucky -- ) -- Singer, songwriter, and guitarist. Born in rural Kentucky and raised in Louisville, Elephant Micah is a prolific songwriter based in southern Indiana. Recording in his home, he has released over ten albums and several EPs since 2000. He continues to perform widely in the United States and enjoys a cult following. Sometimes on stage, he puts down his six-string acoustic in favor of a lap dulcimer (see "My Cousin's King" below"). Other acoustic musicians sometimes join him (see "Still Life Blues" below). He has also performed in Europe, including a tour of the UK with deceased songwriter Jason Molina in 2005.
