Jennie DeVoe

Jennie DeVoe – Singer, songwriter, and guitarist. Muncie native and Ball State alumna Jennie DeVoe has distinguished herself as one of the top billing female artists in central Indiana. After getting started singing with the Larry Crane Band and the No Regrets blues band, DeVoe received honorable mention in the John Lennon Songwriting Contest with “Red Hot Sun” in 1998. In the following year, she made an appearance with Dick Clark and wound up in the American Bandstand Hall of Fame. Also in 1999, she appeared at Lilith Fair along side major female artists of the day including Sheryl Crowe, the Dixie Chicks, Sarah McGlachlan, and Queen Latifah. With 7 studio albums and 5 live ones, DeVoe maintains a busy performance schedule, which includes electric and acoustic sets in a wide range of venues. Her summer 2019 dates are mainly in outdoor venues around Indiana, but she will also appear at Blues festivals in Waukesha, Wisconsin, and Duluth, Minnesota. DeVoe’s versatile and heartfelt vocals have been compared to such diverse artists as Janis Joplin, Aretha Franklin, and Sarah McLachlan. She also feels at home collaborating with local artists ranging in style form blues, soul and rock to pop and folk.
