The Overtones

The Overtones – Gospel Quartet. Comprised of students at Rossville High School, the Overtones started out as a barbershop quartet, which then transformed into a Gospel Quartet after the members took a trip to Evansville to hear Signature Sound. The four members are founder Paul Pence (21), Levi Riggs (22), John DeBoy (19), and Augie Pence (19). As of 2008, the group had recorded five albums, all produced by Garry Jones (founder of Mercy’s Mark and former producer and pianist of Signature Sound). Their second to last release entitled Walk (2007) includes Ronnie Haig’s song “Walk by Faith.” In the summer of 2007, the group took a mission trip to the Philippines, and they plan to take a similar trip to Romania.
