Nate Werth

Nate Werth (b. Munster, February 11, 1983 - ) -- Percussionist. Raised in Dyer, Werth is a graduate of Lake Central High School (2001). He attended the prestigious music school at the University of North Texas from 2001 to 2006. Following graduation he was part of the R & B and Gospel scene in Dallas-Fort Worth. In 2011, he moved to New York City and joined Snarky Puppy, a jazz collective that incorporates a vast array of other styles. As a member of Snarky Puppy, he has traveled the world and has won three Grammy awards. In addition, he leads his own experimental band Ghost-Note with Robert "Sput" Searight. Other than Searight and Werth, the membership rotates. Both of Ghost-Note's albums have made it to #1 on the iTunes jazz chart. Nate Werth is regarded as one of the most talented and versatile percussionists of the present day.
