Jon McGlaughlin

Jon McGlaughlin (b. Anderson, September 27, 1982 - ) – Singer, songwriter, and pianist (classically trained). A graduate of Anderson Highland High School and a former music student at Anderson University, McGlaughlin recorded an independent album in 2003 and is now a rising star in the current pop scene (October 2007). From his first studio album, Indiana (Island Records, 2007), “Beautiful Disaster” is featured in the movie Georgia Rule, and “Human” was heard on an episode of Scrubs in May 2007. In addition, McGlaughlin’s “Another Layer” was included in the Bridge to Terabithia soundtrack. His second album, OK Now (2008), reached #49 on the pop charts (about thirty spots higher than his debut album). Stylistically, his music crosses over into several categories including contemporary Christian, adult contemporary, and mainstream pop. McGlaughlin is currently on his seventh album.
