Wheel of Wind and Water

Aura: Strong Conjuration; CL: 11th

Slot: -; Price: 8,000 gp; Wgt: 30 lbs

Special Notes / Rules: Dragonmarked

Source: ECB, pg. 263

Description:

This ornately carved helm must be mounted on an elemental bound craft that travels through the air or on the sea, like either an Airship or an Elemental Galleon, to function properly. When gripped by someone with the Wind Wall dragonmarked spell-like ability from the Lesser Mark of Storm, they can use one of their Wind Wall dragonmarked spell-like abilities to force their will on the bound elemental, providing a +10 morale bonus to checks to control the lightning rail for up to their caster level in rounds. This does not allow the craft to do something that it would not normally be able to do,

If mounted on a mundane sea vessel, someone gripping the helm with the Wind Wall dragonmarked spell-like ability from the Lesser Mark of Storm can spend one of their uses of that dragonmarked spell-like ability to create an ideal wind, propelling the ship at 6 miles per hour for 1 hour per caster level. Neither of these benefits apply to any Wind Wall spells cast by the one holding the wheel, only the dragonmarked spell-like ability from the Mark of Storm.

Construction Requirements: Craft Wondrous Item, Control Winds, Planar Binding, creator must have the Mark of Storm

Construction Cost: 3,200 gp; a Siberys dragonshart worth at least 800 gp.
