Giant, Quorbred Frost
The team were almost off the accursed Icewhite Island. Trekking through the snow for a solid week to reach the Inspired outpost, leveling it to the ground and then another week back, they were cold, tired and hungry. As they came over the last ice-covered hill, they could see their ship in the distance... or at least what was left it. It had been smashed to pieces and partially sunk. As Iza'aara look in dismay and shock, a chuck of ice as large as a barrel hit him flat in the chest and knocked him off of his feet. The fire mage, who had been against this idea all along, rained fire on the advancing frost giants, only to see it wash over them as if it wasn't there.
"Well, that wasn't supposed to happen."
Iza'aara got up and reached out with his mind in order to strike down the lead frost giant, knowing that if their leader ran off screaming for the hills, the other six would do the same. But as the mental energy hit the mind of the lead frost giant, it struck a wall of pure denial, as if a parent was scolding a child with absolute authority.
As the frost giant grabbed Iza'aara by the throat and began choking the life out of him, the giant said "Inspired not like you. We not like you either. You too meddlesome."
