By infusing a single piece of ammunition, the caster gives it the same qualities as a Slaying Arrow. The caster must select the type of creature for the ammunition to be attuned to at the time of casting. If the piece of ammunition is used in a successful ranged attack against the appropriate creature type, the target must make a Fortitude save or take an additional 50 points of damage from the attack. A single piece of ammunition cannot have more than one Slaying Arrow infusion on it at a time and the magic instantly fades after at the attack attempt, even if the piece of ammunition is somehow recovered.
