Description:

This amulet is actually a carefully crafted construct. While it still takes the same neck slot as other amulets, the benefits of the Final Messenger only come into effect after it leaves the wearer. At any point after it is has been worn, the wearer can command the Final Messenger with a 25-word message and a specific person's physical description and destination in mind. The wearer can also imprint a single mental image that he sees as part of the message. This process only takes a single standard action and can be changed as often as desired.

As a free action, the wearer can release the Final Messenger to fly off and deliver the message. Assuming that the specified person is at the destination, the Final Messenger will land near the recipient and deliver the message via a telepathic touch. If no such person is at the location when the Final Messenger arrives, it will spend one hour searching the area, looking for the specific person based on the description given, although during this search pattern, Final Messengers have been known to deliver the message to the wrong person. Warforged are particularly likely to be misidentified as they all look so similar. Once the message is delivered, or after 1 hour searching, the construct goes dormant again until someone dons it again.

If the Final Messenger is worn while the wearer is killed and it has a stored message, it will immediately detach, taking the last image seen by the wearer as the mental picture, and seek the intended recipient. It is from this use that the amulet gets its name. The construct itself does not have any attacks and will attempt to flee any attacker, but is otherwise detailed here:
