Keycharm

Aura: Faint Abjuration; CL: 1st

Slot: -; Price: 150 gp; Wgt: 1/10 lbs

Special Notes / Rules: Dragonmarked

Source: ECB, pg. 262

Description:

These simple charms are highly important to the functions of House Kundarak, despite being almost commonplace in the upper class. When someone with the Mark of Warding uses one of their dragonmarked spell-like abilities to ward or protect something and that protection has a condition clause to allow others access or entry, they can attune a Keycharm as part of the use of that spell-like ability to be a universal key, allow anyone with that specific Keycharm access without being predefined. This includes allowing the wielder of the Keycharm, instead of the caster, to receive the telepathic ping of an Alarm spell-like ability.

These charms only work with the dragonmarked spell-like abilities of the Mark of Warding and require someone with the Mark of Warding to clear and reassign to a new ward (as part of the new warding).

Construction Requirements: Craft Wondrous Item, Alarm, creator must have the Mark of Warding.

Construction Cost: 75 gp. Unlike other Dragonmarked items, Keycharms do not require a Siberys dragonshard.
