Tentacle Spider

A dark purple mass of legs, tentacles and beady red eyes comes crawling down from the cave's ceiling. Then another. And another. And another. As they begin the chitter, the lead tentacle spiders cover you in webs, pinning you to the wall. As their whipping appendages begin to drain the feeling from your feet and legs, you see the final rays of the sun passing over the horizon... and you realize they will be the last rays you will ever see.

This creature is a hybrid of a giant spider, a giant cockroach and some obviously diseased flesh. While it does have eight legs, the carapace is that of a cockroach. But where the head should have pincers or antennae, it has four writhing tentacles that secrete a contact poison that slowly paralyzes its victims. They are extremely territorial and areas known to be tentacle spider hives are given a wide clearance by the locals.
