Formation

Place + に + Noun がいます。

Place / thing / person + の + position + に + N がいます。

Examples

教室に学生がいます。

きょうしつに がくせいがいます。

There are students in the classroom.

いすの上にネコがいます。

いすのうえに ねこがいます。

There is a cat on the chair.

②Indicates persons who has a relationship with someone.
