お / ご　～　する（敬語⑤） ( humble expressions)

The subject of the sentence is as follows:

1) The speaker

2) Someone who belongs to the speaker's group such as his family or company, etc.

Formation

お + Group 1 & 2 verb ます form + する

ご + Group 3 verb dictionary form + する

This pattern can't be used for verbs that have only one mora before 'ます’.

見ます　→　×お見します　〇拝見します

There are some Group 3 verbs are used with 'お' instead of 'ご'.

電話する　→　×ご電話する　〇お電話する

Examples

お荷物をお持ちします。

おにもつを おもちします。

I will carry your luggage.

お写真をお撮りしましょうか。

おしゃしんを おとりしましょうか。

Shall I take a picture?

順番になりましたら、お呼びします。

じゅんばんになりましたら、およびします。

I will call you when it's your turn.

新入社員をご紹介します。

しんにゅうしゃいんを ごしょうかいします。

I will introduce you to new employees.

工場の中をご案内します。

こうじょうのなかを ごあんないします。

I will guide you through the factory?

新しいプロジェクトについて、私がご説明します。

あたらしいぷろじぇくとについて、わたしが ごせつめいします。

I will explain about the new project.

If 'いたします' is used instead of 'します', the sentence becomes more polite.

私がご説明します。　→　私がご説明いたします。

わたしがせつめいします。　→　わたしが ごせつめいいたします。
