Meaning: I heard that, according to
って②expresses hearsay.
Formation
Verb + って（んだって）
いadjective + って（んだって）
なadjective stem + だって（なんだって）
Noun + だって（なんだって）
Examples
山田さんは合格したって。
やまださんは ごうかくしたって。
I heard that Mr. Yamada passed the exam.
天気予報によると、明日雨が降るって。
てんきよほうによると、あした あめがふるって。
According to the forecast, it will rain tomorrow.
あの映画、面白いって。
あのえいが、おもしろいって。
I heard that the movie is interesting.
佐藤さんのお父さんは社長なんだって。
さとうさんの おとうさんは しゃちょうなんだって。
I heard that Ms. Sato's father is the president of a company.
田中さんの奥さんは野菜が嫌いなんだって。

I heard that this app is useful.
Note
It has the same meaning as "そうだ", which means hearsay, but is more colloquial than that.
これは、伝聞を意味する「そうだ」と同じ意味ですが、それよりももっと口語的です。
