③やるべきことが山ほどあります。
やるべきことが やまほどあります。
I have mountains of work to do.
④私はさやかさんほど英語がうまくありません。
わたしは さやかさんほど えいごがうまくありません。
I can't speak as good English as Sayaka.
⑤この料理は、子どもでも作れるほど簡単です。
このりょうりは、こどもでもつくれるほど かんたんです。
This dish is easy enough for children to cook.

Notes
When ほど is preceded by a noun, the predicate must be negative, as in ④.
When ほど is used with a quantifier, it means "about" as in ⑧.
