A great singer/songwriter Winston is very much on par with singers like Eric 'Monty' Morris and Lloyd Clarke.

Its truly baffling how such great artists can overlooked time and time again. In all cases part of the problem is that they had all of there really big hits in the Ska era. Even though they all continued onto in other era's.

In the case of Winston those big hits were recorded mainly for Lindon Pottinger, and released on the SEP label in Jamaica. Tunes like 'Be Prepared', 'Broken Hearted' and 'Never Again' all gained released in the UK on Ska Beat. Winston went on to work with Prince Buster and Coxsone. And although never having a really big hit - he remains a popular artist for lovers of the Ska era.
