Charmers
Lloyd Tyrell(Charmers) & Roy Willis cut there first record for Duke Reid 'Bless You'. They also recorded for D.Dunkley's - D Records a UK based label. King Edwards was another producer who they worked.with.
Yet it was to be Prince Buster's 'Voice Of The People' that provided them with their first hit. 'Time After Time' a jump up style Ska tune which some would say was really swinging!!!
Coxsone was to be there next move. 'Angel Love' was to be one of the first of many great tunes that the duo cut for the producer. A nice R&B ballard with New Orleans overtones.
The duo bounced between Coxsone and Prince Buster for most of the Ska era - Scoring bit hits for both producers. And recording loads of great tunes.
