Morwells – Presenting – Total Sounds
Blacka Morwell and Bingy Bunny have both played big roles in reggae music.
Yet it was as The Morwells vocal group that provided reggae music with some very fond memories.
This album should be in any reggae fan's collection. Sadly it isn't, this album came out and then more or less disappered.
Its the Morwells best album and includes a couple of massive hits – 'Bit By Bit' and a recut of The Melodians 'Swing And Dine'.
This ten track set includes even more great tunes, that pull together the various strands of The Morwells music.
'Trench Town Way' 'Educate Your Mind' are outstanding reggae songs.
Recorded at Channel One and mixed at King Tubby's by King Tubby. This set as got everything. Great music, a great sleeve and even sleevenotes by Gregory Isaacs!!!
And if you check the musicians credits you will realise that the band here is The Roots Radics a good four years before they gained that name. An historical album in more than every sense.
