Earl George/George Faith
Although Lee Perry produced Earl George/George Faith the most - he never truly understood the man as a singer. In the early to mid-seventies the producer that did was Glen Lee. His two labels 'Cresta' and 'Brothers Of The Blade' released one great tune after another by Earl George. Ask Count Shelly his group of labels in the UK released most of them of here. Glen always found the right songs and the right rhythms for Earl to cover. That big warm soul voice of Earl's never sounded better than when he was singing for Glen. Some of the most memorable and popular tunes include 'Gonna Give Her All The Love I Can', 'Green Hills Of Home', and 'High School Dance'. According to Mikey Chung - the Now Generation band played on a lot of these tunes. This of course would explain why I like them so much. Thank you again for the info Mikey!!
